Un aporte muy especial desde Quito

Cada contribución hecha a la campaña es para nosotros un tesoro de grande estima.

Y hay algunas que debemos mencionar, para agradecer esfuerzos que sabemos especialmente grandes. Una de ellas es la contribución que hizo ayer Ximena Carrera (en la primera foto, con chaqueta blanca, rodeada de docentes de la Escuela de Sordos de Riobamba, Ecuador), en nombre de la Fundación Vivir la Sordera, de Quito.

Esta organización se dedica a apoyar proyectos a favor de las personas sordas en Ecuador. Para hacerlo, anda constantemente en busca de fuentes de financiamiento. Una de esas fuentes es un mercado de pulgas que realizan cada mes de diciembre en Quito, con objetos donados por otras personas. El producto de la venta se destina a los proyectos. Justamente de alllí provino la contribución que nos envió Ximena. La Fundación decidió incluir la renovación de cultura sorda como uno de sus proyectos. Esto nos honra particularmente. XImena nos hizo llegar algunas fotografías del mercado, que con su venia publicamos aquí también.
